

Performs all duties to contribute to the successful operation of the Swarthmore Campus & Community Store. Runs the cash register and assist customers as needed. Interacts with and provides support to customers in person, on the phone, and online. Sources and purchases all imprinted clothing. Works with the Director to implement and manage Store priorities.

The Assistant Director organizes and processes daily report information and paperwork for the Swarthmore Campus and Community Store. The individual will be a subject matter expert in benefits administration and should have a thorough understanding of state and federal employment regulations (e.g., ERISA, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA). The Benefits Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and partnering effectively with internal and external constituents. Under the direction of the Director of Benefits and Wellness, the Benefits Specialist manages employee benefit inquiries and benefits system administration. The ideal candidate will bring their expertise to a team of library professionals and academic technologists that is committed to meeting people where they are in a concerted approach to realizing their digital scholarship aspirations. The position is responsible both for building and sustaining an infrastructure for a dynamic digital scholarship program, as well as collaborating with faculty, students, and campus partners in digital research and scholarship. They are experienced with digital pedagogy and technology, coordinating and driving vision while relying on the ‘team’ for further technical expertise when appropriate. The Digital Scholarship Librarian provides strategic leadership for the Libraries’ Digital Scholarship team and program across all disciplines.
